WINGS Covid-19 updates

The WINGS COVID-19 Reopening Plan has been recently revised with the following changes:
1. COVID screenings through the MyMedBot app are no longer required for staff or students to fill out daily.
2. Unvaccinated staff and students are no longer required to test bi-weekly for COVID.

The WINGS COVID-19 Reopening Plan has been recently revised with the following changes:
Starting May 9th, WINGS strongly recommends face masks to be worn by all staff and students during work and school hours, but are no longer required.
Testing for unvaccinated students and staff will be required bi-weekly (every 2 weeks.) Testing for vaccinated students is strongly recommended but is no longer required.

The WINGS COVID-19 Reopening Plan has been recently revised. We’ve added the following documents:
1. A flow chart titled WINGS COVID-19 Staff Exposure in the Workplace has been added to help outline the steps to follow when a COVID exposure has happened to a staff member.
2. A flow chart titled WINGS COVID-19 Student Exposure at School has been added to help outline the steps to follow when a COVID exposure has happened to a student.

WINGS COVID-19 Reopening Plan February 25, 2022

The WINGS COVID-19 Reopening Plan has been recently revised with updated information on:
1. As of Monday, December 27th, the CDC has updated and shortened the recommended isolation and quarantine period. Please see these changes on page 4 of the re-opening plan. WINGS will be following the CDC’s protocol.
2. WINGS will require all vaccinated and unvaccinated students and staff testing positive for COVID-19 to provide a negative COVID-19 test prior to returning to school or work.
3. All vaccinated and unvaccinated students or staff showing COVID-19 symptoms must get tested and provide a negative test prior to returning to school or work. To review the revised plan, please visit the link below.

WINGS Community,
We are excited to announce that WINGS Learning Center is moving towards a structured reopening plan that will include on-campus days as well as online learning while maintaining cohort learning for a safe campus for children and staff in the midst of this troubling pandemic. WINGS has an updated Reopening Plan, a Covid-19 School Guidance Checklist, and a Covid-19 Prevention Program for your review at the links below.
With the support of our local education and health department officials, we are able to offer some light at the end of the tunnel. It is our hope to continue offering a range of programming, and to further increase our ability to meet students and families directly as we progress into the spring and summer of 2021.

Dear Parents, Staff, and Friends,
Limited one day per week on-campus instruction will begin on January 19th, 2021, following the post-holiday quarantine. If you or your family members have symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19, please do not come on campus. We are committed to a scaffolded reopening plan that will include more on-campus instruction days in the near future when it is deemed safe to do so. Listed below is a link to the WINGS Reopening Plan put together by our COVID-19 task force. The reopening plan coincides with our reopening date of Monday, October 26. Date of Alert: September 30, 2020 @ 11:30AM
WINGS will be re-opening school for in-person instruction on Monday, October 26. We will be limiting in-person learning by having each classroom on-site one day per week.
WINGS will have five cohorts in total, with each cohort consisting of: two Administrators (on-site daily M-F), one Classroom Teacher, and up to six Instructional Assistants, up to seven students, one SLP, one OT, and one Janitor (on-site M-F). School will consist of both in-person and distance learning. All plans are tentative and are reliant on permitting guidelines from the state and San Mateo County.

WINGS will begin the 2020-2021 school year with distance learning through October 2nd. If safe to reopen per San Mateo County guidelines, WINGS will open for in-person instruction on October 5th with a hybrid and distance learning plan.

In accordance with the San Mateo County Health Officer, the WINGS shelter-in-place order has been extended to the end of the academic school year (June 2020). WINGS will continue to provide distance learning, including ESY, to students.

San Mateo County Health Officer Dr. Scott Morrow has issued a School Operations Modification Order that will take effect on Monday, March 16, 2020, and remain in force until Friday, April 3, 2020.
During this time WINGS will remain closed. School will resume on Monday, April 6, 2020 unless further notified. Please click here for more information
