Michael Simon, B.A.
Secondary Program

Michael worked previously at WINGS as an instructional aide for three years. He earned his teaching credential at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont and his B. A. in Psychology with a minor in Music from Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland. He has experience teaching at Borel Middle School in San Jose and as an ABA therapist. He enjoys traveling, card games, basketball, and playing and listening to music. 

Sherry Apostol, M.A.
Secondary Program

Sherry has been working in the field of Autism for the past six years. She earned her B.A. in Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Psychology from San Jose State University. Prior to joining Wings, Sherry was the Senior Therapist in a language-based early intervention program for over five years. During this time, she was also a Senior Therapist specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis. Sherry has her special education teaching credential, specializing in both Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe disabilities and a Masters in Special Education from Notre Dame de Namur University. Sherry also plans to pursue her BCBA certification.

Kevin Skidmore, M.S.
Secondary Program

Kevin received a Bachelor’s of Art Education from Ohio State University where became a credentialed art teacher. He relocated to California and continued his education at San Diego State University and completed the coursework for a special education credential, he then completed his special education credential and received a Master’s of Science in Special Education with an Autism credential from the Dominican University of California. He previously worked as a lead teacher at the Cypress School in Petaluma for three years and at Oak Hill School in San Anselmo for five.

Kathleen, M.A.
Elementary and Middle School Programs

My name is Kathleen, and I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University, Masters of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University, and Master of Arts in Special Education specializing in Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe from University of Pacific. I have worked for Wings since 2019 and throughout that time I have had the privilege to work in all classrooms. Currently I am teaching the elementary/middle school students.  As a parent of a child with intellectual disabilities, I fully understand the rewards and challenges that come with working with our children.
